The Judicial Academy was established on 16 December 2011 through the decision of the Judicial Appointments Commission Meeting No. 12 of 2011. The Judicial Academy Committee consists of the Chief Justice as Chairman, President of the Court of Appeal, Chief Judge of the High Court in Malaya, Chief Judge of the High Court in Sabah and Sarawak and judges elected from among the Judges of the Superior Court.
The objective of the Judicial Academy is to ensure that the training of Superior Court Judges is implemented in a more organized manner in accordance with the modules identified and approved by this Committee. The Academy also plays a role as a monitor of the effectiveness and catalyst of continued excellence of Judicial institutions through the scholarly writing of law and judiciary.
Under the Judicial Academy there are two committees namely the Training Committee and the Publication Committee
